DONATE A HORSE


Lothlorien Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. is currently looking for new prospects for our therapeutic lesson program. The following are basic attributes we look for in our prospects:


  • Horse must be at least eight years old but no older than 16 years old
  • Horse must be up to date on all vaccinations and hold a current coggins certificate.
  • Horses must be sound.
  • Horses must be able to walk, trot, and do minimal cantering. Horse must be able to handle a medium work load.
  • Horse must have excellent ground manners, and be able to stand in cross ties and for the farrier.
  • Horse must be able to be ridden English and western.
  • Horse must be broke to ride, and suitable for a beginner rider or child.
  • Horse must get along with other horses.

If you think you have a horse that may be a candidate for our program, please complete an Equine Therapist Prospect Form and forward to our office, Attention: Equine Manager. Thank you for your help in finding suitable “Equine Therapists” for Lothlorien’s lesson program!
